For Chatham County Jail custody and release records, contact the Chatham County Sheriff's Office at 1050 Carl Griffin Drive, Savannah, GA 31405. General contact hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Corrections is (912) 652-7700, Jail Records is (912) 652-7734, and Receiving and Discharge/Booking is (912) 651-3700. Written county requests can use the Chatham JustFOIA portal.
For a Georgia state prisoner, GDC's inmate-concerns line is (404) 656-4661. Written verification of offender-search information goes to Inmate Records and Information, PO Box 1529, Forsyth, GA 31029. The DCS Savannah field office serves Chatham and the Eastern Circuit at 15 Mersey Way, Savannah, GA 31405, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. DCS statewide is (678) 783-4337.
